Report: Uniper sees no US sanctions threats due to N Stream-2
BERLIN, Jan 14 (PRIME) -- German energy company Uniper has not received any sanctions threats from the U.S. due to the participation in the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline project, CEO Andreas Schierenbeck told Reuters on Thursday.
"There are no threats in my postal in-tray which I check regularly," the official said.
Reuters reported on Wednesday that the U.S. State Department told European companies, which it suspects are helping to build Russia’s Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, that they face the risk of sanctions as the outgoing U.S. President Donald Trump administration prepares a final round of punitive measures against the project.
